Mel-Nilla Ice, hailing from Kampsville, Illinois, initially became involved in roller derby as a fan, thanks to a friendship with a skater. Little did they know that this connection would lead to many more friendships within the roller derby community. Mel-Nilla Ice seized the opportunity to become a non-skating official (NSO), and through this role, they have found a second family among the amazing individuals involved in the sport. In their professional life, Mel-Nilla Ice specializes in business administration. When not immersed in derby or work, they enjoy the company of their four fur babies: Dexter the Pom-Pug, Rue, Winnie, and Sydnie the Weiner dogs. Their love for outdoor activities like camping, side-by-side rides, and paddleboarding is matched by their passion for adventures with their spouse, friends, and beloved pups. At home, you’ll often find Mel-Nilla Ice tending to their garden, indulging in crafting projects, or engrossed in true crime and drug-related television shows.
